By UA Ledger staff — Archive date: 5 min read

Revised

Abstract illustration of a fee structure shifting from a per-unit meter to a percentage dial

Apple's per-install Core Technology Fee is replaced in the EU by a 5% commission on digital transactions in apps distributed outside the App Store. Here is the chronology and the arithmetic for a web shop case.

Correction in progress

The archive treated a planned fee transition as completed and applied an install-fee example without the necessary eligibility and annual-install context. Do not use the original arithmetic for a budget decision.

The original copy remains in the editorial archive. The sources below are available while the replacement is reviewed.
