One casual-gaming report contains several data populations

Map the supplier behind each chart before treating the report as a single matched dataset.

Liftoff’s 2025 Casual Gaming Apps Report page assigns cost and revenue benchmarks to Singular, install-source data to Liftoff, and game/design analysis to GameRefinery. That is a multi-origin publication. Public report description.

Match evidence at chart level

A common cover does not prove that every chart covers the same games, countries, operating systems or months. Our recommendation is to attach a source-population card to each chart used in a decision, then check whether the populations overlap enough for the proposed comparison.

The Singular index announcement provides an additional example of how attribution definitions can alter what a performance measure means. It is not the methodology of the gated casual report and should not be substituted for that missing document. This distinction matters when a reader recognises a supplier’s name and assumes all its publications use identical rules.

Stop at the evidence actually available

We inspected the public landing page, not the gated report body. This edition therefore does not repeat cost, revenue or conversion numbers from uninspected charts. Its finding is the report’s disclosed division of data origins and the information still needed to compare them.

For a budget review, request the precise chart, its methodology and permission to use the relevant extract. Until those are available, the report can be placed on a reading list but cannot support a numerical target. The artifact records that boundary explicitly so a source-access limitation does not disappear during handoff.

Inspect the evidence

Download the source-population and comparability card. The extraction separates documented facts from our analysis and unknowns.
