Lunar New Year Vietnam (Tết) operator checklist

Tết 2026 calendar anchors for Vietnam F2P UA; timing differs from China Spring Festival marketing assumptions.
Vietnam’s Tết Nguyên Đán is not China’s Spring Festival marketing calendar. For 2026, timeanddate’s Vietnam holiday list records Vietnamese New Year’s Eve on 16 February 2026 and Vietnamese New Year on 17 February 2026, with Tet Holiday rows through 21 February 2026. The dedicated Vietnamese New Year page lists Tue 17 Feb 2026 as the national holiday observances row for that year. A Ministry of Home Affairs notice listed via SAV as 9441/TB-BNV dated 16 October 2025 covers public-sector Tết Âm lịch and National Day leave for 2026; treat public-sector extended windows as operational context, not proof of private-sector UA behaviour.
Operator checklist
- Calendar split: Record Vietnam Tết dates separately from China CNY / Lunar New Year creatives. Do not reuse a China flight calendar for VN without a dated VN row.
- Announcement vs leave window: Keep the lunar New Year day (17 Feb 2026 on timeanddate) distinct from any multi-day leave block announced for civil servants.
- Creative localisation: Vietnamese copy, payment screens and store screenshots for VN; do not ship Simplified Chinese CNY endcards as a Vietnam flight without a localisation sign-off.
- Session pattern: Expect travel and family time to change midcore session hours; schedule live-ops and push around the local holiday block, not Shanghai assumptions.
- Review SLA: Submit store metadata and IAP changes early enough that review queues do not collide with the leave window.
- Re-check: Re-open the timeanddate Vietnam 2026 page and any later Bộ Nội vụ notice before locking media.
Facts vs limits

| VN New Year’s Eve 2026 | 16 Feb 2026 (timeanddate Vietnam 2026 list) |
| VN New Year 2026 | 17 Feb 2026 (timeanddate) |
| Tet Holiday rows | 18–21 Feb 2026 on timeanddate Vietnam 2026 list |

This checklist does not forecast Vietnam CPI or retention. It only forces dated calendar hygiene before a Tết flight.
