Checklist combining Lei 14.852/2024 parental microtransaction consent with Lei 15.211/2025 Art.20 loot-box ban for child-directed or likely-accessed games.
Purpose
Separate loot-box prohibition (ECA Digital) from parental microtransaction consent (Marco Legal) before Brazil UA that shows gacha or random-reward fantasy.
Law text
- Lei 15.211/2025 Art. 20: loot boxes (caixas de recompensa) are prohibited in electronic games directed at children and adolescents or of probable access by them, under the indicative classification. Art. 2 defines a loot box as a paid function granting random consumable virtual items or advantages without prior knowledge of content or guaranteed utility.
- Lei 14.852/2024 Art. 17: in-game purchase tools must default-restrict child commercial transactions to ensure guardian consent.
Checklist
| # | Check | Pass if |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Classification | Indicative age and “likely accessed by minors” assessment on file |
| 2 | Random paid rewards | Disabled or removed for Brazil SKUs in scope of Art. 20 |
| 3 | Non-random IAP | Child purchase path requires guardian consent per Art. 17 |
| 4 | Creatives | Ads do not promise banned loot-box mechanics to Brazil audiences |
| 5 | Store text | No “open chests for random heroes” claims if the Brazil build cannot ship that loop |
| 6 | Counsel note | ANPD / implementing decrees tracked separately — this card is statute text only |
Limits
Exact effective-day mechanics for age assurance sit in later regulation; do not invent biometric or store-API requirements here.
