Checklist for uploading IAP products and local prices before a global price test, grounded in Apple StoreKit and Google Play Billing documentation.
Global price tests fail when local prices, tax displays or product IDs are missing in one storefront. Apple’s StoreKit documentation and Google’s Play Billing / Payments pages are the primary references for product setup. Exact price-tier tables change; confirm current consoles before upload.
Checklist
- Freeze the SKU map. Same logical offer → distinct App Store product ID and Play product ID, recorded in one sheet.
- Create products before creatives. Paid UA that shows a pack price must resolve to an approved, active product in both stores.
- Upload local prices for every test country. Do not rely on a single base price with silent auto-convert if finance requires explicit local points.
- Tax and proceeds display. Verify buyer-facing price strings in each storefront locale; store fee is not the same as player price.
- Sandbox / license testers. Complete a purchase on iOS sandbox and Play license testers for each new price point.
- Offer metadata parity. Introductory offers, promo codes or one-time products must exist on both stores if creatives claim them.
- Play Billing policy. Digital goods use Play Billing unless an enrolled alternative-billing or external-offers programme applies.
- Rollback plan. Keep prior price points active until the test cohort is closed so support can still redeem.
