Apple Featuring Nominations lead times and In-App Events guidance timed against F2P live-ops peaks.
Apple’s Getting featured on the App Store page states teams can use Featuring Nominations in App Store Connect to share launches, enhancements or stories. Featuring lead time varies — give the team a minimum of two weeks notice; for wider consideration, nominate up to three months in advance. Mis-timing a nomination to a dead live-ops week wastes the slot even if editorial interest exists.
Checklist timed to live-ops
- Pick the peak. Nominate against a real content spike (new season, alliance war, battle pass drop), not an empty calendar gap.
- Submit early enough. Two weeks minimum; three months when seeking broader featuring.
- Match nomination type. New app/game, significant update, In-App Event, or story — do not blur them.
- In-App Events. Use for timely in-app content that can appear on Today/Games/Apps tabs, search and the product page.
- Product page readiness. Apple lists compelling screenshots, previews, descriptions and positive ratings among featuring considerations — finish ASO before the nomination window.
- Promotional artwork. If contacted for assets, follow Apple’s promotional artwork guidelines rather than improvising UA endcards.
- UA alignment. Hold a creative flight that matches the featured promise; do not run contradictory economy claims during a featuring week.
- No guarantee. Apple publishes considerations (UX, UI, innovation, localisation, accessibility, gameplay for games) — not a points rubric or acceptance rate.
Play editorial/feature requests are out of scope until a body-read Play primary is attached in a later revision.
