Douyin mini-game 微端 delivery guide: Douyin/Toutiao only, Android package, no Pangle
Analysis

Douyin Open Platform’s mini-game advertiser delivery guide documents 微端 (miniapk) buying on Douyin and Toutiao only, Android package naming, Ocean Engine event setup without advertiser-side MMP wiring, and a 50,000-spend gate for extra packages.
Douyin Open Platform’s 投放指南 for mini-game advertisers, opened 19 September 2026, is an operational delivery guide for 微端 (miniapk) buying — not a dated incentive window. The page does not state a separate effective date or end date. Treat it as the live how-to for the product path it describes; re-open before a new buy.
Inventory and optimisation targets
Traffic scope: ads may run on Douyin and Toutiao clients only. Selecting other clients does not deliver and does not spend.
Conversion goals listed: activate, pay (including activate-and-pay, every pay, pay ROI) and key behaviour. ByteDance states it wires attribution internally so the advertiser need not build a separate data-return integration for that path.
Build the campaign under promotion → new ad group → marketing path → behaviour conversion → 应用 (application). The page warns that choosing 销售线索收集 (lead gen) yields no conversion data. Prefer in-app placements (Douyin feed first); do not choose 穿山甲 (Pangle) — mini-game ads will not show there. Avoid broad “通投” as a first choice.
Package and Ocean Engine wiring
Package name format: com.bytedance.{mini-game appid}.miniapk. 微端 buying is Android-only on this guide; the FAQ says there is no need to wire iOS payment for this path.
Sequence on the page: create the Douyin mini game → obtain mini-game appid → register an Ocean Engine app id (Android only; do not paste the mini-game appid as the English name) → whitelist 微端 download → bind Ocean Engine app id and download the formal 微端 package → upload the package in Ocean Engine application management → configure 事件管理 events (activate, play_session, register, pay, and related). Data check is described as auto-pass for this path; event联调 is optional and “not required” for 微端 reporting. Landing pages use 橙子建站 and must carry the five compliance elements (name, developer, version, privacy policy, permission list).
IAA titles need a direct-sales whitelist before key-behaviour goals (IPU count + eCPM configuration is mentioned). IAP titles need operations to enable pay reporting before pay goals will serve.
Extra packages
After the first 微端 package has cumulative feed spend above 50,000, the game automatically unlocks creation of up to five additional 微端 packages. Extra package names follow com.bytedance.{appid}_2.miniapk through _6.
What this does not tell a global UA team
| Field | Evidence or limit |
|---|---|
| Effective / end date | Not stated on this guide page |
| Clients | Douyin + Toutiao only |
| OS for 微端 | Android |
| Package pattern | `com.bytedance.{appid}.miniapk` |
| Extra packages | After >50,000 cumulative feed spend; max five extras |
| Not established | iOS mini-game UA path on this page; foreign-entity advertiser eligibility; CPI benchmarks |
Download the delivery checklist. Re-read the live Douyin guide before a first 微端 flight; whitelist and event steps are enforced in product, not only in prose.
