A cleaning trend can supply an immediate visual attraction. HOMA's Clean It! case prompts the harder question: does the advertisement prepare the player for the management game that follows?
A cleaning trend can supply an immediate visual attraction. HOMA's Clean It! case prompts the harder question: does the advertisement prepare the player for the management game that follows?
What the public case establishes
TikTok describes Clean It! as restaurant cleanup and expansion, promoted using a cleaning trend, in-house material and creator submissions. HOMA revised briefs using creative performance and seasonal themes. The source reports comparative creator-ad results alongside a broader launch programme, rather than a controlled test of one opening transition. TikTok for Business case study.
This is a source-led creative casefile, not a frame-by-frame viewing or a campaign we ran. The diagram below is our own schematic. It does not reproduce the advertiser’s footage, and we have not established reuse permission for that footage.
The decision worth examining
The sensory pleasure of clearing a surface and the strategic pleasure of managing a restaurant are different reasons to play. A video may attract viewers with the first while the game expects sustained interest in the second. The creative opportunity is to connect them accurately, showing how a satisfying action produces meaningful progress rather than hiding the management layer until after installation.
The proposed transition map moves from one cleaning action to its consequence in the restaurant. It is not a reconstruction of HOMA's original footage. Producers should ask whether the consequence is visible in the captured game version and whether the apparent speed of progress has been compressed. A montage can be edited honestly while still labelling a compressed sequence clearly.
A usable next check
Prepare matched edits with the same opening action. End one on a visual before-and-after and let the other reveal the resulting management choice. Evaluate what viewers expect their second and third actions to be. A paid follow-up should examine early progression behaviour, not just whether the satisfying opening increases clicks. Keep seasonal dressing out of this first comparison.
| Test element | Proposed specification |
|---|---|
| Control | Cleaning sequence ends on visual completion |
| Variant | Same sequence reveals its restaurant-management consequence |
| Readout | Expected next actions and later progression engagement |
| Stop or reject | Reject a transition that promises progression unavailable in the captured build |
Download the populated case worksheet. Its control, variant and decision rules are a proposed experiment, not an account of results already measured. Keep the source URL with the worksheet when circulating it so reported findings cannot become unattributed team benchmarks.
Evidence boundary
The vendor source does not identify a creative-level causal contribution or disclose a complete sample. We did not view its original videos or measure installation, retention or spend; the worksheet defines a proposed check only.
For background, see the creative brief is a hypothesis document and post campaign creative debrief process. These are existing archive discussions, not independent certification of this case. No first-hand campaign result is asserted.
