Eatventure: creator volume needs a traceable concept inventory

Lessmore's Eatventure case is a production lesson about creator supply. It also demonstrates why a case-study headline should not be copied into a budget model without checking the body.

Lessmore's Eatventure case is a production lesson about creator supply. It also demonstrates why a case-study headline should not be copied into a budget model without checking the body.

What the public case establishes

TikTok says Lessmore expanded Eatventure's mix from gameplay videos towards creator material through TikTok Creative Challenge, receiving more than 500 creator videos over several months. The account describes an evolving iOS campaign that moved from installs towards purchases and expanded beyond its initial US market. TikTok for Business case study.

This is a source-led creative casefile, not a frame-by-frame viewing or a campaign we ran. The diagram below is our own schematic. It does not reproduce the advertiser’s footage, and we have not established reuse permission for that footage.

The decision worth examining

A large creator pool makes replenishment easier but can obscure which ideas are being repeated. The operating question is not simply whether the next delivery looks different. It is whether it tests a different restaurant-management promise, demonstration or player motivation. Without that record, a team can mistake a steady flow of new faces for a steady flow of new learning.

Use an asset register that preserves creator identity, permission scope, concept family, first delivery date and where the asset actually ran. Archive a stopped file with its reason rather than removing it from the record. This lets the team distinguish an exhausted concept from a creator execution that never received enough comparable delivery to assess.

A usable next check

Code a sample of owned creator videos before allocating a refresh budget. Compare a refresh lane that changes only presenter and delivery with a lane that changes the underlying gameplay argument. Keep market, objective and destination fixed where feasible. Review both production cost per usable file and the eventual quality of acquired players; a large submission count alone cannot answer either question.

Download the populated case worksheet. Its control, variant and decision rules are a proposed experiment, not an account of results already measured. Keep the source URL with the worksheet when circulating it so reported findings cannot become unattributed team benchmarks.

Evidence boundary

The page's headline gives a 15% D7 ROAS comparison while its results paragraph says 28%. That unresolved discrepancy is deliberately excluded from our conclusions. Both values remain vendor assertions, and no original creative was viewed for this draft.

For background, see the creative brief is a hypothesis document and post campaign creative debrief process. These are existing archive discussions, not independent certification of this case. No first-hand campaign result is asserted.
