Rising Rank Insignia: use organic comments as questions, not a conversion forecast

Lucky Chan's TikTok account describes using organic gameplay posts before paid promotion. The useful creative input is the audience's questions, not an assumption that organic engagement predicts paid economics.

What the public case establishes

TikTok says Lucky Chan Games posted in-play material for Rising Rank Insignia before beginning a Spark Ads install campaign in July 2021. The account highlights two-way interaction in comments and the use of an informal gameplay style. It describes results after three months of the campaign. TikTok for Business case study.

This is a source-led creative casefile, not a frame-by-frame viewing or a campaign we ran. The diagram below is our own schematic. It does not reproduce the advertiser’s footage, and we have not established reuse permission for that footage.

The decision worth examining

An organic post is a cheap place to discover misunderstandings about a mechanic, but it is not a random sample of future paid viewers. Followers, recommendation systems and early commenters can select a distinctive audience. Producers can use recurring questions to improve an explanation while refusing to turn likes or comment volume into a forecast for a paid cohort.

The original question register accompanying this case separates a visible audience question from the creative change it suggests. A confused question about progression might justify an additional rule demonstration; praise for a joke may justify no product change at all. Collect only information needed for the brief and avoid exporting personal commenter data into a public worksheet.

A usable next check

Review a permitted sample of comments on your own material and group questions by mechanic, progression and reward expectation. Build one revised explanation addressing the most consequential misunderstanding, with the old gameplay edit as control. Assess paid and organic audiences separately if the edit later runs as an ad, preserving the same definition of comprehension across both groups.

Download the populated case worksheet. Its control, variant and decision rules are a proposed experiment, not an account of results already measured. Keep the source URL with the worksheet when circulating it so reported findings cannot become unattributed team benchmarks.

Evidence boundary

The source reports a 150% lower CPI, an arithmetically problematic statement under the usual percentage-reduction definition. We do not use that figure. No comment sample or original video was personally inspected for this source-led analysis.
