Rewarded completion rate claims in network case studies: definition check

Editorial collage hero (mustard-ink): REWARDED COMPLETION RATE. CLAIMS NETWORK CASE

Benchmark-check methodology: what “rewarded completion rate” means in AdMob’s reward callback model versus loose case-study language. No invented network averages.

“Completion rate” is defined differently across decks. This check locks the definition to a published SDK callback before anyone quotes a case-study percentage.

Definition under AdMob docs

AdMob rewarded ads (opened 20 September 2026) require showing the ad with an OnUserEarnedRewardListener. For ads Google serves, the SDK calls onUserEarnedReward before onAdDismissedFullScreenContent; mediation sources may differ in callback order. A completed reward in this model is “listener fired with a reward item”, not “video started” or “ad clicked”.

This article does not publish a completion-rate number. Unity Ads / AppLovin definition pages were not successfully read from the source as stable completions metrics in this pass — treat vendor case studies as unresolved until their methodology section is opened.
