Apple’s age-rating questionnaire is a release control
Analysis
By UA Ledger staff — 2 min read

Treat the completed questionnaire and the displayed rating as separate evidence.
An automatically updated age label is not enough evidence to close a release task. Apple’s requirement asks developers to respond to revised questions, so the operational check should include the questionnaire itself and the version to which the answers apply.
Check what changed in the game
Our suggested review starts with the actual product: communication features, content, access controls and any functionality added since the last submission. Route factual answers to someone who knows the build. A UA manager should not reverse-engineer a convenient rating from the audience a campaign hopes to reach.
Keep the store listing and creative brief alongside that review. A mismatch between an ad’s promise and the implemented experience is worth resolving even when a form is technically complete. The purpose is an accurate description of the product, not a speculative claim that one rating will improve conversion.
Close the task with account evidence
Record who completed the questions and when the release owner verified the resulting state. If a partner studio maintains the listing, obtain evidence for the specific app rather than a portfolio-wide assurance. An old screenshot should not silently stand in for the current release.
The supplied record deliberately leaves account completion unobserved. It is a reusable handoff between growth, product and store operations, with the deadline preserved as historical context. Recheck when a meaningful product feature changes or before a launch whose submission status remains uncertain.
The governing record is Age Rating Updates. This edition checks the provider documentation; it does not inspect a studio account or certify a shipped build.
Inspect the evidence
Download the applicability and deadline record. The extraction separates documented facts from our analysis and unknowns.
