EU trader verification is a destination-availability check

Check the app’s actual EU availability before sending a new campaign to its store listing.

A campaign destination can fail for a reason that no creative optimisation will fix. Apple’s EU trader-status requirement belongs in a store-availability check, especially when a title changes publishing arrangements or a team resumes activity in an old account.

Verify the destination a player will reach

Our recommendation is to check the app in the intended storefront and document the account’s verification state. An app page visible to a colleague in another country is not sufficient evidence for an EU campaign. The account holder should own the status determination; the growth team should own testing the destination used in its ads.

Keep the two checks separate. Account information can explain an availability problem, while a destination test shows what a user encounters. Neither alone proves the other. If the checks disagree, resolve that inconsistency before attributing a conversion decline to audience quality.

Preserve the limit of this record

This article records Apple’s stated store requirement. It does not determine whether a particular business is legally a trader or interpret every obligation under the Digital Services Act. A case requiring that determination needs its own accountable review.

For launch planning, the concrete output is small: app identifier, intended storefront, verification status, time checked and a working destination. Keep that evidence with the campaign setup. Revisit it after ownership or account changes instead of assuming that a historical approval covers every later situation.

The governing record is DSA trader status required for apps in the EU. This edition checks the provider documentation; it does not inspect a studio account or certify a shipped build.
