TikTok playable “lift” claims need advertiser, window and baseline
Analysis

Triumph Arcade’s playable ROAS deltas are one brand-reported case—not a Conversion Lift Study average.
TikTok’s Triumph Arcade success story reports 85% higher Day-0 ROAS and 80% higher Day-7 ROAS for Playables versus a video-only format. That is one advertiser’s internal November 2025 comparison on a seven-day Smart+ iOS campaign in North America—not a disclosed multi-advertiser Conversion Lift average. Triumph Arcade case.
Name the claim type before using the percentage
TikTok’s own disclaimer on the page states that the case is informational, past performance does not guarantee future results, and product-effectiveness claims are brand-reported and not endorsed or verified by TikTok. Separately, TikTok documents a Conversion Lift Study product that estimates incremental conversions with test and control groups, absolute and relative lift, and confidence levels for eligible managed accounts.
A producer should not treat a selected success-story ROAS delta as if it were a lift-study result, and should not treat either figure as a studio ROAS target. The useful questions are: which advertiser, which OS and geo, which window, which baseline creative set, and whether the measurement was brand reporting, network reporting or an incrementality study.
Keep playable format tests local
Our recommendation is to record baseline (video-only or other), cohort window (Day-0 / Day-7) and bidding setup next to any playable comparison. If those fields are missing from a vendor slide, leave them blank rather than filling them with industry averages.
Inspect the evidence

| Field | Evidence or limit |
|---|---|
| Report / publisher | Triumph Arcade Playables case / TikTok for Business (brand-reported) |
| Period | November 2025 internal data; campaign ran seven days |
| Population | One advertiser (Triumph Arcade); Smart+ app promotion; iOS; North America |
| Metric under review | 85% higher Day-0 ROAS and 80% higher Day-7 ROAS versus video-only format |
| Aggregation | Single-case brand-reported format comparison; not a multi-advertiser average |
| Critical limit | TikTok does not verify the brand numbers; the case is not a Conversion Lift Study with disclosed test/control design for playables across advertisers. |
| Comparable with | Another named advertiser case with the same OS, geo, window and video baseline |
| Not comparable with | A studio ROAS target or an unspecified “TikTok playables lift” average |
