Custom product pages / custom store listings: message-match checklist

Operator checklist to keep Apple CPP and Google Play CSL assets aligned with the paid creative that lands on them.
Paid traffic that lands on a mismatched store page wastes the click. Apple documents custom product pages (up to 70 additional pages; unique URLs; usable in Apple Ads) and ad variations that bind one active custom ad per search-results ad group to a CPP. Google documents custom store listings (up to 50 pages) that can target countries, pre-registration, search keywords, ads traffic via AdGroupID, lapsed/churned users and other segments, or a unique listing= URL parameter.
Message-match checklist
- Name the promise in the ad. Record the exact claim before designing the store treatment.
- Build the page for that promise only. Apple CPP: screenshots, promotional text and/or app previews. Play CSL: name, icon, descriptions and graphic assets.
- Bind traffic to the page ID. Apple Ads: assign the CPP as the ad variation (one active custom ad per ad group). Play: paste AdGroupID for ads-traffic CSL, or ship
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=[package]&listing=[parameter]. - Localise the treatment. Play CSL are not auto-translated — choose a default language and add translations for spoken languages in targeted countries.
- Review before spend. Apple CPP metadata needs App Review. Play ads-targeted CSL must be approved then selected as the Google Ads landing page; AdMob is the documented format where custom assets currently show.
- Measure the page, not only the campaign. Apple App Analytics exposes conversion, retention and average proceeds per paying user by CPP.
- Retire mismatches when creative rotates away from the page promise.
