Creator code program launch checklist for F2P (MMP, finance, legal)

Launch checklist for F2P creator codes covering MMP attribution hygiene and FTC endorsement disclosure expectations.
Creator codes without finance and MMP design double-count revenue. US FTC Endorsement Guides FAQ states that if a connection between endorser and marketer would not be expected by a significant minority of consumers and would affect how they evaluate the endorsement, that connection should be disclosed clearly and conspicuously — including when an endorser is paid or given something of value. Measurement hygiene still needs distinct campaign parameters so code-driven purchases are not naively last-clicked against paid UA.
Checklist
- Legal/disclosure. Brief creators to disclose the material connection clearly and close to the endorsement; keep examples on file.
- Finance. Decide whether the code is a discount, revenue share, or fixed fee; write the margin formula before launch.
- MMP. Separate media source or campaign for creator traffic; do not rely on unpaid organic alone if you need incrementality later.
- Store vs web shop. If codes redeem on web shop, map SKUs and tax displays; if on store IAP, confirm product IDs exist.
- Support load. Macros for invalid codes, region locks and refund interactions with creator commissions.
- Fraud. Rate-limit self-purchase and refund patterns tied to codes.
- Kill switch. Ability to disable a code without a binary.
Limits: non-US disclosure regimes and named creator-platform fee schedules are not exhaustively read from the source here; attach jurisdiction counsel and provider docs before scale.
