Gacha rate disclosure page: QA against the live banner probabilities

Operator checklist to QA live gacha banners against the disclosure page, using the FTC Cognosphere 17 January 2025 press record on Event Banners and odds misrepresentation as the primary bar.
Disclosure pages drift from live banners after hotfixes. This checklist forces a dated screenshot pair before UA scales a banner creative. Jurisdiction note: the primary document is a US FTC enforcement record; JP/KR/EU statutes are not read from the primary source in this article and stay unresolved.
Primary bar
On 17 January 2025 the FTC announced a complaint alleging HoYoverse deceived players about loot-box odds and costs, and that Event Banners and influencer campaigns gave the impression of better odds for promoted five-star prizes than players actually had. The proposed order would prohibit misrepresenting odds, prices and features and require disclosure of odds and virtual-currency exchange rates.
Checklist
| Check | Pass condition | Fail action |
|---|---|---|
| Banner id / season | Live banner build id matches disclosure page version | Block ads |
| Per-item probabilities | Every featured item probability on the banner equals disclosure | Hotfix or pause |
| Pity / hard pity | Pity counters described identically in UI and disclosure | Align copy |
| Currency FX | Real-money cost path matches disclosure (no hidden re-exchange) | Fix shop UX |
| Ad creative | UA cut does not imply higher odds than disclosure | Kill cut |
| Capture | Dated screenshot pair stored with build hash | Required artifact |
